Nature house Lotus is located on a small recreation park in the middle of the beautiful fairytale forest of Gorssel. Enjoy the peace and nature around our cottage. Both inside and outside is a good place. Inside there is central heating. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a comfortable double bed and plenty of storage space. For the children there is a playful bunk bed. The cottage is equipped for stays with children. In the nice play corner children can also have fun inside with all the available toys. In the closet there are fun games and books for both young and old. The kitchen is equipped with everything to prepare a good meal that you can eat both inside and outside. On the spacious sofa inside you can relax in the evening. The outdoor area consists of an attractive veranda. Here you can enjoy the warmth of the wood stove outside after a lovely autumn walk.
Nature and surroundings
Due to the unique location of our nature house between the forests of Gorssel, the IJssel and near Deventer and Zutphen, you have the best of both worlds; nature and culture! From Lotus you can walk the most beautiful wooded trails and the famous Gorsselse heath is 10 minutes by bike or 20 minutes by foot. On the other side of Gorssel you will find the floodplains of the IJssel, where you can take the ferry across to De Kribbe; a nice farm restaurant, with delicious cakes. Gorssel has a beautiful village center with nice authentic stores where you can score the tastiest things, find restaurants (including the famous Loetje) and for groceries there is a Jumbo. The cozy Hanseatic cities (Deventer and Zutphen) with a maze of shopping streets leading to squares full of cafes and terraces, are both about 20 minutes by bike (about 10 minutes by car). The forest swimming pool De Boskoele is around the corner and recreational lake Bussloo can be reached within 15 minutes by car.
