Our little green property is located in rural North Brabant, near the famous "Maasheggen". The entire accommodation can be rented by families and groups of friends. Cozy together BBQ'ing on the terrace, an atmospheric campfire, play a game on the playground. For extra relaxation you can book the sauna and whirlpool as an option (or later). Layout: the 10-person house has a spacious living room with a well-equipped kitchen where everyone can be together. The house has 5 comfortable bedrooms, a billiard room, 2 saunas and 2 whirlpool baths. For the romantics we have two heated lodges (these will be made even nicer in early '25, with insulated roof, shower and bath. Pictures will follow as soon as everything is green again). Finally, the 9-person safari lodge, with bath, shower, and 3 bedrooms (1 room with two bunk beds). This lodge overlooks our animal enclosure, and is ideal for two families with children, for example. Check-out on Sunday is possible until 6 p.m.
Nature and surroundings
The residence is in the midst of farmland. You walk straight to the flowering hawthorn hedges in the Maasheggen: the oldest cultural landscape of the Netherlands. There is no area in Europe where nature, landscape, economy and culture are so visibly and long-term intertwined. The area is so unique that it is the only one in the Netherlands to have been awarded UNESCO Man & Biosphere status. Walking and cycling opportunities abound. Less than 12 km away are the Kraaijenbergse Plassen, a vast lake area of over 475 hectares of water and 200 hectares of nature. A wonderful place for water sports, beach recreation, hiking and cycling. At about the same distance, just across the border, is the Ketelwald. With an area of almost 9000 hectares, it forms a link with other nature reserves, such as Millingerwaard and Rijnuiterwaarden, Haterse Vennen, Maasduinen, Veluwe and Eifel.
