This beautiful nature house is in our front yard directly adjacent to the nature reserves "Vledders" and "Leijerhooilanden", part of the beautiful Reestdal. The cottage has been completely renovated in 2022 according to today's wishes and requirements and is wonderfully light and modern. Also extremely suitable for staying during colder days, as we have floor heating and HR++ glass applied in the cottage. The fully equipped (open) kitchen has a stove with hood, dishwasher, convection oven and fridge freezer. There is also an electric kettle and Nespresso machine. The dining table is central to the room, next to the garden doors that give access to the private terrace. But the expansive view can also be enjoyed from the comfortable corner sofa in the sitting area. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and spacious shower. This is adjacent to the bedroom area where you will sleep soundly in a double box spring.
Nature and surroundings
In this nature house with unique location, you will be surrounded by nature. You walk from the cottage to the forest. There are several hiking trails along the cottage, in the forest is a fun experience path for children and many miles of hiking and biking fun. Within 10 minutes drive you are in Boswachterij Staphorst which includes "Recreation Black Pine". Here you can swim in the summer in the natural pond. In addition, the forestry also offers numerous hiking and cycling routes and a marked mountain bike route with challenging single tracks. There are several sights and attractions to visit in the area. Information is available in the cottage or at the local tourist office in IJhorst. The nearest village is De Wijk with several stores and an excellent supermarket. You can also rent bicycles in De Wijk. However, if you are going for a more relaxed day, there are electric scooters for rent in IJhorst.
