The nature house is located in the Achterhoek, in the outskirts of Aalten. The area falls under the National Landscape Winterswijk. Characteristic is the coulisse landscape with its many ash trees and small-scale allotment. Perfect to explore on foot or by bike. You wander around here for hours without crowds! From the cottage you can walk straight into the Loohuisbos, or to Suzie's Farm, where you can eat delicious food (including local products) and play a game of miniature golf. Close by is the historic fortified town of Bredevoort, with lots of art, culture and books. In the vicinity are several activities, such as hiking, cycling and MTB routes, various museums (Villa Mondrian Winterswijk, Koppelkerk Bredevoort, Transit East Winterswijk, National hiding museum Aalten) and swimming facilities (swimming paradise Bahia Bocholt, recreational lake the Slingeplas Bredevoort, swimming pool Walfort Bredevoort, Strandbad Winterswijk).
