Located on top of a mountain Property, far away from civilization, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees. In peace and quiet with only the birds and wild boar and deer as neighbors, you will stay in a spacious safari tent. Right next to the tent is the private chalet bathroom, equipped with shower, separate toilet. Your nature house consists of two separate bedrooms, a mezzanine with closet and sofa bed, this can serve as a 1-prs sofa bed, furthermore a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with gas stove kettle and toaster and fridge/freezer. In the colder months there is a gas stove and in the cooler months a fan. In the spacious garden there is a large garden table with parasol with BBQ and a fire pit to light a fire except July and August. The tent is located 200m from the main house. Ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or want to go hiking or horseback riding or take a refreshing dip in the lake (15min).

The Aude region has many historical sites to offer, from the extraordinary Cathar castles (Montsegur) to the citadel of Carcassone (40min). We are in a wooded area overlooking the mountains and at night no light pollution except the clear starry sky in complete silence. At 10 min drive you will find the charming village of Chalabre, where you will find all kinds of basic amenities from a supermarket, cafes, a restaurant, a pharmacy, a butcher and a bakery. Just a 15 min drive away you will come to the beautiful lake of Montbel. Here you can swim and do water sports like sailing. In the summer months there is a very nice hippy-like beach cafe at the lake where you can eat in the evenings and on the weekends there is usually music playing. A 20min drive takes you to the beautiful historic town of Mirepoix, Monday morning market. In the tent you will find an information folder about the area.
