This guesthouse gets its name from the colorful cork tree that adorns the area. The cottage has its own kitchen, a spacious bathroom, a separate bedroom and a sitting room with wood stove and central heating.Due to the excellent insulation of the houses and the special climatic conditions in which the day and night temperatures in summer vary about 15 degrees, the houses do not need air conditioning.The terrace of casita del Corcho offers beautiful views of the valley, the garden and the creek.*First basket of firewood for free. Thereafter € 7.50 per basket. "Valle del Arroyo" is intended for adults seeking rest and relaxation - to completely unwind and indulge the senses, which is why our accommodation and the environment is not suitable for children under 16 years.
Nature and surroundings
Valle del Arroyo is located in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche National Park on the border of the villages, Los Marines and Cortelazor and a stone's throw from Aracena. Here you will find peace and quiet in an environment that surprises every season. Every season nature gives its own tone of beauty. The area has many possibilities. There are many hiking trails, mountain bike tracks and for horse lovers there are endless paths over the hills of the Sierra. There are also many special small villages where you can still see and taste the typical Spanish traditions.Sierra de Aracena is considered one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Europe. Among olive trees, stone and cork oaks graze cows, sheep and pigs. The most famous is the Ibérico piglet. Grazing on La Dehesa, feasting on the acorns of the holm oaks, produces the sweetest and most melt-in-the-mouth Pata Negra.
