Views are what you get at our cottage, located on small canal with a view of meadows, in summer filled by horses, lambs and behind them again the colorful tulip fields. The birds often prefer our garden to build their nests and with a little luck swans, coots or grebes choose to build their nests right in front of our jetty. The garden is truly an extension of the living area. Throw open the doors and let the bird sounds delightfully come in. From the jetty you can cast your fishing rod. On the terrace you will find a large table with lovely patio chairs. There is also a BBQ to use. You can also enjoy on the water because canoe/kayak rental can be found 15 minutes away by bike. The cottage is equipped with all conveniences: WIFI, Netflix and Amazon Prime only TV and fully equipped kitchen and comes with a lovely King Size bed and cozy fireplace. There are 2 fine bikes at your disposal, they can be used for a fee.

The house is located along beautiful cycling and hiking trails through natural areas and idyllic villages. You can spot meadow birds and birds of prey everywhere. The special Farmland Path is part of the walking network Westfriesland. On the Rijndijk you make great sunrises and sunsets mee.Hoorn is via the dike only 15 minutes cycling. It has many nice coffee shops and places for drinks. At De Waegh you can enjoy breakfast between 8.00 and 10.00 a.m. for only €2.75.You can swim in the IJsselmeer. Tourist places like Amsterdam, Volendam & Alkmaar are quick and easy to reach, also by (train) public transport. Port towns Medemblik and Enkhuizen are definitely worth a visit and cozy in the winter months. The beach is a 30-minute drive away. Do you like wine, a vineyard is 15 minutes by bike.In short, this house is the ideal place for a combination of peace and nature and enjoyment of bustle in the cozy, historic surrounding towns.
