You may rent our FLUIST boat (100 euros). Spacious garden with lots of greenery, covered terrace with key safe, BBQ, garden table, 6 garden chairs, 2 sun beds and jetty. New bathroom with underfloor heating and rain shower. Open kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer, 4-burner ceramic hob, combination microwave, kettle, coffee machine, Senseo machine, toaster and dining table. Spacious living room with lots of light, garden door, sofa, 4 easy chairs, toys, games, books, radio, TV, DVD player, DVDs and a beautiful view over the canal. Bedroom on ground floor with 2 single beds. Sleeping loft with 4 single beds. Earlier check-in and/or later check-out can be arranged.

Sail up the cozy village canal, or to the nearby lakes "Bovenwijde," "Beulakerwijde," and "Belterwijde," or to the beautiful nature reserves of the National Park "Weerribben" and "De Wieden." You can also enjoy swimming in e.g. the Bovenwijde at the cozy "swimming island." The water is shallow (hip height) and nice and warm. The nice towns of Meppel and Steenwijk and the forests of Havelte with its unique dolmens are within cycling distance. You can also walk along the cozy houses and canals to the many cozy restaurants and cafes, where you can also enjoy the beautiful view on the terrace. The authentic village of Giethoorn is the "Venice of the North". The characteristic bridges, village canals, beautiful farms and peat houses with thatched roofs determine the village image. 500 meters from the cottage is a bus stop, and a short 200 meters from the cottage is free parking P6 with ample parking.
