In the shade of a persimmon tree and with beautiful mountain views is our well-insulated nature house that is simple, clean and quietly furnished. It has its own bathroom and there is a kettle and refrigerator. On the side of the cottage (out of sight of the landlords) is a terrace with table and chairs. The cottage is also a Shiatsu practice so should you wish to receive a Shiatsu on arrival please book in advance. At 5 minutes walk you are in the village of Cànoves and if you want to go directly into nature then step out through the back entrance. 500 meters from our house is a public swimming pool that is open during the summer months.

This nature house is located at the foot of the Parque Natural del Montseny. Unesco declared the park a protected biosphere reserve in 1978. The park is dominated by three peaks; el Turó de l'Home (1712m), Les Agudes (1706m) and Matagalls (1697m). It is a wooded area with many streams. From Cànoves you can make beautiful (both long and short) walks and bike rides. There is a riding school nearby where horseback rides are offered. In the village is a bakery where you can enjoy breakfast. There are several restaurants, a vermutería, a small supermarket, a fruit shop and a pharmacy. About 7 km to the south, west and east are some larger towns where there is a weekly market. If you feel like a change and want to take a dip in the Mediterranean, you can get there in half an hour's drive. Barcelona and Girona are 44 and 70 km away respectively and are easily reached by public transport.
