When you enter here you immediately feel at home in the mystical atmosphere of the Ardennes. The chalet is very cozy, the living room has just been restyled, as well as the furniture, everything is modern and upholstered in warm colors. The bathroom has also just been renewed. The fireplace and wood stove increase the atmosphere. The sloping ceiling with the mezzanine to the upstairs bedrooms add atmosphere and dimension to the L-shaped living room, while the separate dining area with the large dining table is yet another special place. Around the house there are beautiful views to the garden and surroundings with lots of birds and regular squirrel. The patio doors to the terrace are, especially when the weather is nice, a godsend. The kitchen is complete and there is plenty of kitchen inventory. The terrace with a sturdy dining table with adjustable chairs covers 30 m2 and the spacious front garden faces southwest and offers plenty of privacy, so you can enjoy. For your children there is an "exciting" playhouse.
Nature and surroundings
Here, at a distance of no more than 300 km from NL you are suddenly in a completely different world. A wonderful nature with valleys and mountains, untouched forests, wild flowing rivers and in winter snow much more often than in the Netherlands. The chalet is also very conveniently located. You walk as it were directly into nature, due to its location near the small river Amblève, the babbling brook Steinbach and the large Wolfsbusch. You can enjoy plenty of hiking and biking, swimming, kayaking or fishing. Close your eyes and hear nothing but water, birds, the occasional crickets and possibly the fanning of the fire in the wood stove. Yet you are in this mystical place less than fifteen minutes' drive from the cozy and lively town of Malmedy and the village of Waimes. There is much to do in the immediate vicinity. Enjoy the terraces, restaurants, breweries, beautiful villages with centuries-old churches, reservoirs, castles and cultural heritage. The rugged nature reserve The High Fens is nearby.
