Luxury vacation home for 2 persons,. Enjoy the tranquility in beautiful Gaasterland between the woods and the Frisian lakes. A cozy spacious bedroom, king size bed, on ground floor kitchen and lounge area. toilet on ground floor and floor, Private entrance, private terrace partially covered and parking for bicycle and 2 cars. Horse trail and hiking trails, on the Jan Jurjenssingel is a canoe, and SUP- boarding place on the river the Luts with an open connection to the nature reserve the Wyldemerk with dragonfly sanctuary or to the village of Balk with supermarkets and shopping facilities and then the Slotermeer with bathing pavilion. Also, Gaasterland has an extensive bicycle network from which you can visit the rest of our beautiful Friesland. Frisian Lakes Cycling through the woods via Oudemirdum and Rijs to the IJsselmeer and picturesque towns like Stavoren, Hindelopen, Sloten, Workum etc. minimum 3 nights. During high season preferably a week.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house borders directly on the Star Numanbos, which turns into the Bremer Wilderness with beautiful cycling and walking routes. At the end of the Jan Jurjenssingel the old little river De Luts flows, from the Slotermeer it flows past the Linde trees in Balk to the woods in Gaasterland. Along the banks grow beautiful King ferns. With a little luck, you'll see a Kingfisher nesting here in the steep overs, or spot the rare Life-bearing Lizard sunbathing. The water flows quietly on in De Wyldemerk, from the old sand pits a nature reserve arose with the Dragonfly Sanctuary of Europe, with rare species such as the Spotted Witsnuitlibel, the early Glasscutterfly, Great Red-Eyed Damselfly and the Emerald Dragonfly. Beautiful riparian and aquatic plants adorn the landscape. Herb walks Along The Luts, The Wyldemerk, The Fûgelhûke (Vogelhoek) Beautiful Gaasterland with rolling wooded landscape, between the Frisian Lakes, with Mirnser Klif and the Red Klif and beaches on the IJsselmeer .
