Our luxurious, sturdy, steel cabin, can accommodate (as many as) 4 people. This cabin is built with a very modern interior and high-quality amenities, such as an infrared sauna and floor heating. An ideal place to fully enjoy your free time alone, with your family or your friends. Your own personal retreat. Next to the park is a three-acre recreation and hiking area with lots of water, where you can take a nice walk or have a picnic. Our steal away stands like a rock in a 300m2 garden on its own lot in a rest park in Menaldum (Menaam) with its own parking. Surrounded by greenery. Leeuwaarden, Franeker, Harlingen and the Wadden Islands are 15 min away You arrive in a fully made up house with bath, and bed linen at your disposal. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, a dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave.
Nature and surroundings
Northwest Friesland was once connected to the Seven Frisian Sea Countries, an area with many fertile salt marshes. The Frisians lived by cattle breeding, hunting and fishing and were connected to the rest of the world because of its location on the open sea. Through it flowed the Middelzee. This slowly closed. Menaldum lies as it were on the seabed of the Middelzee. This nature house in Waadhoeke Resort is the starting point for ultimate moments of enjoyment. The area has a diverse range of activities and attractions. For your peace and quiet, you can go to the beautiful nature reserves of National Park De Oude Venen, the Frisian Lakes or the Wadden Sea. But also a good base for the Wadden Islands. At the end of the day you return to the cottage where you can relax in a warm bath, or in the garden barbecuing dinner and chatting ends the day with your loved ones.
