This nature house is a Scandinavian wooden cottage, built of thick round logs.The house has a sedum roof, which provides extra coolness in summer and extra warmth in winter.It is located in a small park in Wichmond and has an unobstructed view and plenty of space around the house, which gives plenty of privacy. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with a bunk bed.On the beds are single comforters and pillows. You need to bring your own bed linen and towels. A bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, toaster, microwave oven and 4-burner gas stove and of course the necessary crockery and glassware. A sitting area with 2 comfortable sofas. A terrace with awning, table and chairs, parasol. In the barn there are 2 good touring bikes, free to use.
Nature and surroundings
The back of the house is adjacent to a plot of nature monuments with trees and brushwood. The Hackfort estate is within walking distance. There are several hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, consisting of forest and meadows. The small-scale coulisse landscape with many exposed bicycle paths lends itself perfectly to making beautiful cycling trips. Places such as Bronckhorst, 15 km away and Zutphen( 10 km) and Deventer are worth a visit. For a visit to the slightly more distant Deventer there is a beautiful cycle path along the river IJssel. There are several interesting museums nearby, including More in Gorssel, Staal in Almen and the Castle Ruurlo. Vorden is a pleasant village with several terraces and restaurants and is best known for its 8-castles route. √orden is also the junction of Pieterpad. The weekly Friday market is worth a visit.
