Le Koestal is part of an old French farm (1750s) and has been converted into a nature house - gite. Time stands still for a moment while you enjoy the large garden, laze in a hammock, or completely relax in the sauna,...Le Koestal consists of 1 large room with equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area. Separate bathroom (shower, sink), and separate toilet. 1 large sleeping loft with 2 double beds and a bunk bed. Crib available. There is a general entrance for the house and the gite. From here you enter the Place Communal : a common room with large table and extra refrigerator. BBQ available. Ideal for those passing through by bike, car or on foot...For those who love nature, simplicity and peace....
Nature and surroundings
Location : in TAILLETTE ; rural, detached, flirting with the Belgian-French border at a few km from Rocroi with stores, banks, cafes and restaurants.There is something for everyone :hikers : the forests around Couvin, the border route to explore the area, Ry de Rome : a dam lake with hiking trail, the GR 654 steps to Lac de vielles Forges or walk around the Lac, in Viroinval visit the Fondry des Chiens (a special geological site with rocks and ravine), etc..... Cyclists can stay on the plateau and discover the small French villages, cycle towards the Meuse valley, look for 1 of the VTT routes,...Culture and history can be found in Rocroi (historical town with very beautiful 'remparts' (Vauban), Charleville-Mézières city of the marionettes, or Sédan with the largest castle in Europe....or on the Belgian side you can visit Couvin or Chimay,
