Recently built nature house, equipped with all the comforts and luxuries you are looking for a pleasant stay: nice bedroom with a bathroom with shower 'en suite'. In the 'studio space' you will find seating and cooking facilities with a beautiful view over our meadow and fields, only disturbed by the view of the barn, where you can also relax on the terrace and possibly store your bikes inside. You have the opportunity to have breakfast outside or recover from your walk or wonderful bike ride through our beautiful surroundings. On the floor, which you can reach through the studio space, you will soon find a second bedroom. However, it is not ready for use at this time. In the course of 2025 we hope to finish this space. In the house down the street live our daughter and son-in-law. You can always contact them with questions. Also living there are their cat 'Beertje' and their dog 'Boef', a sweet but playful German Shepherd.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in the countryside of the municipality Westerkwartier: 3.5 km south of Marum (with stores like AH, Hema and Lidl and 1.5 km away from the village De Wilp (with a small convenience store and cozy eatery). You will find at the back of our house the Nanninga forest nearby (700 m walk) and at 1.5 km the Bakkeveen woods with the beautiful Bakkeveen dunes and fens. From our nature house there are many beautiful hiking trails with routes to follow and wonderful mountain bike routes. At 20 meters distance and a little more to the road is the main building: a country house where you can always go with your questions. You drive up the driveway and you will find your own parking space in front of the cottage.
