Want to enjoy the real outdoors? You can! Because we have a beautiful new guest house of 200m2. Five double rooms (beds can be split) with private bathroom, a cozy kitchen and the most beautiful terrace in Friesland. Nice and luxurious, Nespresso coffee, induction stove, oven microwave and dishwasher.... Beautiful views and of course including bed, bath and kitchen linen. Nature house surrounded by salt marsh, meadow, trees and birds. On our property there is also a feed silo with stairs from which you can see the most beautiful views and sunset. For a drink and some goodies you can visit our canteen (with fire pit) or our terrace at set times. Or take a look at our workshop for artists.

On the northern edge of Friesland lies this beautiful place. Here the sea dike and the Noorderleeg separate the land from the Wadden Sea. A place with history and future. The area outside the dike gives an idea of how it was before the time of the sea dikes. A place to think about the future with rising sea levels. A place managed by humans, but where nature prevails. During the day, thousands of migratory birds show themselves on the salt marsh and in the meadows. At night you can see "the real dark" here, and thousands of stars. The wind has free play here. So this is the outdoors. But if you still want some action; our terrace is nearby, Dokkum and Leeuwarden are 15 km away, and from Holwerd (10km) you are on Ameland in no time! What is there to do at this end of the world? Hiking, walking the mud flats, picking oysters and samphire, biking, visiting beautiful towns (Dokkum, Leeuwarden, Harlingen, Groningen), viewing landscape art, and above all enjoying!
