Our nature house is detached amidst the beautiful Achterhoek nature on a dirt road. It overlooks a spacious garden with old trees, meadows and woods. You walk from the house directly into nature. The Pieterpad is a short walk away. In addition, there are many hiking and cycling opportunities in the vicinity. Ground floor: spacious, attractively furnished living room and a small kitchen with amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, mini oven, 2-burner induction hob, kettle, Nespresso machine, airfryer and wifi. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms, one with a spacious double box-spring bed and views over the garden. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. If both rooms are used when two guests visit, there is an additional charge of €25.00. Also on this floor is a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower (in bath). Bed linen and towels are provided. The village of Laren with stores and restaurants, is located at about 10 (car) minutes. No breakfast.
Nature and surroundings
There are many hiking and biking opportunities in the vicinity. The historic Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen, are about 25 minutes by car from The Pheasant. There you will find a wide range of stores and restaurants, many of which are located in the attractive old town. The small, cozy town of Lochem is about 15 minutes away by car. In the nearby village of Laren (about 10 minutes) there are also various shopping and catering facilities. In the village is the rental of e-bike, -scooter, -chopper, Solex etc. possible (Unique Trips). The 8-castles route is highly recommended, in addition to a visit to nearby Huis Verwolde which is a stone's throw from The Pheasant. There are several museums in the area such as MORE in Gorssel and Ruurlo, Museums Zutphen and Museum Staal in nearby Almen. The owners are happy to provide tips on activities that can be undertaken in the area.
