2025 IS FULL! Our nature house, completely renovated in 2022, stands on 5000 meters of private land (not on a park) from which we have fenced a beautiful garden for our guests. If you bring the dog, it can safely scamper outside, which has been thoroughly tested by our own Podencos. The covered terrace on the garden side faces south-west, making it a lovely sunny spot until late in the day. The living room with kitchen is a cheerful place to eat, listen to music or watch TV. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, combi-oven, refrigerator with freezer and, of course, a coffee and tea corner. For the first few days everything is there to make a cup of coffee or tea. The bedroom is a nice space where we have invested in good bed bases and two 1-person quality mattresses. Thanks to hygienic mattress covers you are always assured of a nice clean bed. Next to it is the dressing room with closet space, wardrobe and space for bags and suitcases.
Nature and surroundings
We are dog lovers and love to hike with our pack. This region is a feast for that, because from our place you can directly start one of the many well-marked hiking trails surrounded by the beautifully mixed forests. Do not be surprised if you suddenly come face to face with deer, a raccoon or fox. Wild animals still feel very comfortable in this unspoiled nature.A five-minute drive by car takes you to Frankenberg where all amenities such as supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, parks and the famous Thonet Museum can be found. In winter, Hesse is also an attractive region for hiking, cross-country skiing or skiing. The Willingen - Ettelsberg ski area is the highest ski area in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. At 838 meters, it has the highest ski slope resp. the highest ski elevator in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg. From our cottage you can also reach the famous winter sports resort of Winterberg within 40 minutes by car.
