Nature house in Macereto

From the cottage you can easily walk to the church on the hill or to the castle on another hill. The valley offers several supermarkets that provide you with all the necessities. 35 minutes drive to Perugia, 50 minutes to Assisi. Both worthwhile!

Vanuit het huisje wandel je gemakkelijk naar de kerk op de heuvel of naar het kasteel op een andere heuvel. Het dal biedt meerdere supermarkten die je van alle gemakken voorzien. 35 minuten rijden naar Perugia, 50 minuten naar Assisi. Beide de moeite waard!

Cute cottage hidden among the olive groves in Umbria. The cottage is small but nice. You will find a fully equipped kitchen with nice dishes and cups. From the garden you have views over the valley with several opportunities to create terraces so you can sunbathe all day or seek shade. You can hear birds, crickets, cicadas, the occasional rustle in the bushes and in the distance the road. A nice place to unwind. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and the outdoor shower gave us coolness.

Schattig huisje verscholen tussen de olijfgaarden in Umbrië. Het huisje is klein maar fijn. Je treft een volledig ingerichte keuken aan met leuke serviezen en kopjes. Vanuit de tuin heb je uitzicht over de vallei met meerdere mogelijkheden tot het creëren van terrasjes zodat je heel de dag kan zonnen of de schaduw kan opzoeken. Je hoort vogels, krekels, cicades, af en toe iets ritselen in de struiken en heel in de verte de weg. Een fijne plek om tot rust te komen. We genoten van prachtige zonsondergangen en de buiten douche gaf ons verkoeling.

We felt very comfortable. Everything you need is there. We didn't use the fireplace, barbecue, pizza oven and fire bowl when it was almost 40 degrees outside and very dry. The fact that there is air conditioning proved to be a blessing. The outdoor shower also provided welcome cooling. It was great that basic cooking equipment was available. The house is perfect for anyone who likes a cozy, rustic feel. And as it's a real natural house, there are sometimes small, many-footed roommates and the odd speck of dust. If this or the morning cockcrow or the barking of dogs from the village bothers you, you might want to choose something else. For us it was a very nice home for two weeks. Macereto is a cute village, the people are all friendly. For us, it was the ideal place to relax and discover the surrounding area.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Kamin, Grill, Pizzaofen und Feuerschale haben wir bei zwischenzeitlich fast 40 Grad Außentemperatur und großer Trockenheit nicht gebraucht/vorsichtshalber nicht genutzt. Dass es eine Klimaanlage gibt, hat sich als Segen erwiesen. Auch die Außendusche hat für willkommene Abkühlung gesorgt. Sehr toll war, dass eine Grundausstattung an Kochzutaten vorhanden ist. Das Haus ist super geeignet für alle, die es gemütlich-rustikal mögen. Und da es ein echtes Naturhaus ist, gibt es auch mal kleine vielfüßige Mitbewohner und das eine oder andere Staubkorn. Wen das oder der morgendliche Hahnenschrei oder das Hundegebell aus dem Dorf stört, der sollte sich vl. doch was anderes aussuchen. Für uns war es zwei Wochen lang ein sehr schönes Zuhause. Macereto ist ein knuffiges Dorf, die Menschen alle freundlich. Für uns der ideale Ort zum Ausruhen und zum Entdecken der Umgebung.

Grandiose. A paradise for animal lovers. Deer, hedgehogs, martens, lizards and snakes roam the garden. The hoopoe takes sand baths, the oriole sings in the morning, the cicadas all day long, you can discover wood bees, butterflies and scorpions. You can even find the spines of porcupines. With so much nature, there are also mosquitoes, which you should be prepared for outside. Thanks to the mosquito screens, however, you will have peace from the pests indoors.

Grandios. Ein Paradies für Tierliebhaber. Rehe, Igel, Marder, Echsen und Schlangen durchstreifen den Garten. Der Wiedehopf nimmt Sandbäder, der Pirol singt am Morgen, die Zikaden den ganzen Tag, man kann Holzbienen, Schmetterlinge, und Skorpione entdecken. Vom Stachelschwein findet man immerhin die Stacheln. Bei soviel Natur gibt es auch Mücken, darauf sollte man sich draußen einstellen. Im Haus hat man dank der Fliegengitter aber Ruhe vor den Plagegeistern.

The house is located in beautiful surroundings! Bike rides and walks galore (we use Komoot - no shares, but a fantastic guide), in very different graduations, but also fun city trips galore! Panicale, Castiglione del Lago, Cortone, are just modest examples of smaller historical gems nearby. Perugia, Siena, Assisi, the great jewels at very driveable distance. Not to be left unmentioned is the energetic and professional support of the host Beverly. She is perfectly capable of making your stay pleasant with advice (where to get excellent olive oil) and deed! Modest, but adequately sourced by the homeowner. Both communicate professionally, quickly and directly. In short: highly recommended!!!

Het huis is gelegen in een prachtige omgeving! Fietstochten en wandelingen te over (wij gebruiken Komoot - geen aandelen, maar een fantastische gids), in heel verschillende graduaties.

Maar ook leuke stedentrips te over! Panicale, Castiglione del Lago, Cortone, zijn slechts bescheiden voorbeelden van kleinere historische juweeltjes in de buurt. Perugia, Sienna, Assisi de wat grote juwelen op zeer rijdbare afstand.

Niet ongenoemd mag de energieke en professionele ondersteuning van de host Beverly blijven. Zij is prima instaat om je verblijf te veraangenamen met raad (waar uitstekende olijfolie vandaan te halen) en daad! Bescheiden, maar adequaat gesoufleerd door de huiseigenaar. Beiden communiceren professioneel, snel en direct.

Kortom: aanrader!!!

A very comfortable house! In which we especially noticed that the kitchen was furnished and equipped by someone who loves to cook and is not completely free of cooking experiences! Furthermore, the house embraces you for a vacation of Italian allusion. Wonderful sleeping with the windows open; screens (thought about it) in front of the windows prevent the entry of all kinds of articulated potted, winged or not, but unwanted pests.The covered veranda is an extension of the house! A wonderful place for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Risk the view, however, niggles your attention to the meal. The house and garden also offer you excellent opportunities for a day of rest! Enjoying sun or shade among the olive trees, reading or musing away on the next day's possibilities. And that occasionally sleepily larded with the muffled sounds of the daily life of the village at the foot of the hill. In short: recommended!!!

Een zeer comfortabel huis! Waarbij ons vooral opviel dat de keuken is ingericht en uitgerust door iemand die van koken houdt en niet geheel vrij is van kokservaringen!
Verder omarmt het huis je voor een vakantie van Italiaanse allusie. Heerlijk slapen met de ramen open; horren (over nagedacht) voor de ramen beletten de toegang van allerlei geleed potig, al of niet gevleugeld, maar ongewenst gedierte.
De overdekte veranda is een verlenging van het huis! Een heerlijke plek voor ontbijt, lunch en diner! Risico is echter dat het uitzicht knibbelt aan de aandacht voor de maaltijd.

Het huis en de tuin bieden je ook uitstekende mogelijkheden tot een rustdag! Genieten van zon of schaduw tussen de olijfbomen, lezend of weg mijmerend over de mogelijkheden van van de volgend dag. En dat af en toe slaapwekkend gelardeerd met met de gedempte geluiden van de dagelijkse belevenissen van het dorpje aan de voet van de heuvel.
