Our nature house is located in the heart of the Westerkwartier, an area characterized by the beautiful hedgerow landscape. The cottage has a lot of privacy and has a beautiful view of the standard orchard with minzeboes, the wooded banks and the flower meadow. You have your own parking space and a covered terrace. This comfortable cottage is spacious and attractively furnished and consists of a room / kitchen, master bedroom with an auping bed (160 x 200 cm), a children's bedroom with 2 beds (80x200) and a bathroom / toilet with spacious shower and washing machine. Next to the cottage is a hobby greenhouse where in winter and spring with a little sun is already great to sit. In summer you can share in the harvest (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, herbs, etc.). At night it is still really dark here and the starry sky can be enjoyed. The cottage is suitable for sporty peace seekers, nature and cow lovers. We look forward to your arrival!
Nature and surroundings
The southern Westerkwartier is characterized by its small-scale character and its beautiful coulisse landscape. The cottage is located 300 meters from the road on a paved path between the wooded banks. From this central place you are within 20 car minutes away in the City of Groningen (Forum, Groninger museum, cozy markets and cafes). You can also within 30 car minutes at the port of Lauwersoog where the boat to Schiermonnikoog goes. Perhaps the most beautiful Wadden Island. Also the forests of Norg and the Drents Friese Wold are easily accessible by bike or car. For children there is the indoor pool in Niekerk or the outdoor and indoor pool in Leek. There is also the youth park (https://www.landgoednienoord.nl/). The Westerkwartier is a beautiful cycling area with many bike paths and low-traffic roads. Several routes are plotted both to the northern clay layer and to the forests of Norg and Nienoord. We gladly think along if you have questions about fun trips for young and old!
