This beautiful nature house is a converted farmhouse from 1920. The farm used to be known, among other things, for the production of gin. Now you can enjoy a relaxing vacation here. The house has a large living room with an open kitchen and lots of light through the garden doors. Through the spiral staircase you walk to the upper floor where there are 4 bedrooms each with a double bed and 2 bathrooms. The house is surrounded by a large garden with olive and fruit trees. At the back of the house is a covered bbq area with large dining table. The lovely, spacious 10 x 4 meter pool is saltwater based. Come and enjoy yourself in vacation home Quinta da Destilaria!
Nature and surroundings
In the hills of Serra da Lousã are several beautiful hiking trails, which include the characteristic Aldeias do Xisto. Wij waren met 2 kids (3&11jr) die hebben bijna niet eens omgekeken naar de tv iPad!! Zoveel te doen daar voor hun, aan niks ontbrak hetNature, peace & environment:Not only the house and garden was absolutely great but also the owners! We have been there a good 2.5 weeks and really had a top stay!!! More than worth those 5 leaves!!!
Niet alleen het huis en de tuin was helemaal geweldig ook de eigenaren!! Wij zijn er een goeie 2,5 week geweest en hebben echt een top verblijf gehad!! Meer dan die 5 blaadjes waard!!

Nature, peace & environment:We travelled from the UK with our four children to experience this nature house and we can all say without a doubt it has been truly fantastic! Not only did we feel welcomed and immediately 'at home' but we could enjoy all the house offered from the wonderful pool (the children barely left it!) to the excellent BBQ (we discovered our teenagers can cook!)
We felt truly relaxed and spent our mornings exploring nearby towns, villages, and river beaches before returning 'home' in the afternoon to read and relax by the pool.
The house has everything a family could need and more, we loved it and didn't want to leave, also we loved seeing the cats around! -

An extra folding table could be a solution.We ended up not using the 2 city bikes to bike to the mountains or store.It was wonderful to be able to enjoy this oasis of peace, nature privately, with a pool just for us! Also, the hosts are very accessible (via whatsapp or phone), sympathetic and helpful with questions and live nearby, making it possible to meet up. That was an added value for us!
We hebben niet buiten gegeten, omdat de picknicktafel werd ingepalmd door de (schattige) katjes. Een extra plooitafel zou een oplossing kunnen zijn.
We hebben uiteindelijk de 2 stadsfietsen niet gebruikt om naar de bergen of winkel te fietsen.
Het was heerlijk om in deze oase van rust, natuur privé te kunnen genieten, met een zwembad voor ons alleen!
Ook de hosts zijn heel toegankelijk (via whatsapp of telefoon), sympathiek en behulpzaam bij vragen en wonen in de buurt, waardoor het mogelijk is om mekaar te treffen.
