A beautiful & attractively built cozy cottage, with lots of glass so that when you sit inside by the wood stove, you can still enjoy nature outside. The cottage is built with oak wood from the land & loam from the Meuse River nearby. The construction is made with so-called pin hole joints & the walls are filled in with loam & straw, which together gives a very unique & natural impression. Upstairs in the comfortable double bed you have an amazing view over the country. Maybe you'll see a deer! In the cottage itself is no running water, the toilet, bathroom facilities & the kitchen with common living room can be found in another building nearby. The bed is made for you & towels for showering are provided. If you bring your own bed linen & towels you will get 10 euro cash back (for every 2 days) Try to bring biodegradable soap for showering if you can. For us it is very nice if you let us know in time what time you expect to arrive!
Nature and surroundings
Our grounds are in the middle of nature. We are near the river Niers and the river Maas. National Park the Maasduinen is 3 kilometers to the south, but actually with us they are Maasduinen. The Pieterpad runs a few hundred meters away and so this is an ideal place if you are hiking it. Gennep is a cute little town with the world-famous storks of Beleef de Lente on the town hall. It's 3 kilometers, you can borrow a bike (or tandem). Furthermore, you are within an hour by bike or half an hour by car in cozy Nijmegen. But you can also go on an adventure around here; it is located near the Heijense bos and the Looierheide, where you can enjoy walking/hard walking/cycling/mountain biking.
