The MaiHouse with outside stone staircase' comprises two floors, connected by an outside stone staircase, respectively an inside oak staircase.Ground floor: large room (7.5 x 4.50 m) with dining table and cabinets; with a sleeping area with two beds; a large kitchen (4 x 2.75 m) with a sink, refrigerator, 5 burner stove with large oven, dishwasher, worktops; a bathroom (2.5 x 1.80 m) with toilet, large shower (1.20 m), sink. Washing machine and freezer in the passage. An interior staircase leads to the floor.Upper floor: large sitting room (9 x 4.50 m) cum sleeping area with antique fireplace 2 m wide and old 'évier'. The sitting area is 6.30 x 4.30 m, furnished with a 3-person sofa with matching chair, the sleeping area is 3.5 x 5 m with a twin bed (1.60 x 2.00 m) and a large wardrobe. An additional bed can be added; there is a camping/baby bed of 120 x 60. Outside: the House with outdoor stone staircase has a private terrace and garden with dining table with 6 chairs.
Nature and surroundings
The region Quercy Blanc owes its name to the white limestone hills: rolling hills, intersected by valleys with small rivers that eventually flow into the river LOT. The tourist office has described beautiful hiking trails; leaflets are available. The houses in the area are built of this limestone-natural stone. The tradition of weekly markets and annual village festivals is still alive. Our little castle covers 4 hectares, part forest, part fields of wild grass, full of orchids, grasses, thistles and flowers; with deer, hares and the occasional wild boar. At night you will hear the barn owl calling.
