Very spacious, bright and comfortable house on the edge of the beautiful national park of the Cevennes ( border of the Gard Provençal / South Ardeche). At the beginning of the 19th century, this region had a thriving silk industry and mining. Located in an old mining complex, with houses and its own church, where industrial elements have been preserved as much as possible. The house: 1. A bright high central room, atmosphere of yesteryear, where the open kitchen and living room and reading area are located with direct access to the outdoor terrace with dining table adjacent to the kitchen with French doors. 2.: large mezzanine 3.: on the first floor a half open space with bedroom, double bed, a large bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet 4. One floor below: additional bathroom and second toilet. 5. On the top floor: second bedroom with two single beds and access to roof terrace with panoramic views. No wifi, but good mobile coverage.
Nature and surroundings
Around 1900, this region was known for its thriving silk industry and mining. You can take beautiful walks or bike rides here, discover many picturesque villages, nature is impressive. On the border of the National Park the Cévennes, are numerous opportunities for hiking and mountain bike tours. Many picturesque villages in the area, impressive nature. Not far from the house you will find the rivers La Cèze, Gagnieres and Le Luech.You are on the border of the departments of Ardeche/Gard/Provence which is an ideal starting point for visiting beautiful cities such as Uzès, Chateau Neuf des Papes, Montpellier, Avignon, Orange, Arles, Marseille, Nimes and even the Mediterranean coast. Other activities: - Provence markets, Wine tasting (châteaux, properties), Caves, Canoeing, Climbing, Parasailing
