Amidst the meadows, close to the beautiful village of Tinallinge, stands this homemade forest hut. Tinallinge is a village in the municipality of Het Hogeland and is located between Baflo and Onderdendam and has about 60 inhabitants. The cabin is more spacious than you think and is made with love and offers a wide view over the countryside. The house is suitable for 2 to 3 persons or 2 adults with a maximum of 2 small children. The cabin is made of Siberian larch with large windows. This feels immediately warm. And there is a lot of sunlight coming in. There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook extensively. Bedding, towels, as well as kitchen linens, are provided. The cabin is detached and built on the owner's property. There are three very sweet farm foxes walking in the yard. The cottage is on the Vennenweg road that runs through Tinallinge. The GPS will send you across the canal via Onderdendam. Do not go there.
Nature and surroundings
Tinallinge is a beautifully preserved mound village and is located about 20km north of the city of Groningen in the municipality of Het Hogeland. In Baflo you take the train to Groningen, which leaves every hour and takes you to the Grote Markt in half an hour.It is the land of wide views, stately farms, polders and dikes, beautiful old Groningen villages and churches built on mounds. Within cycling distance is the Hogeland Museum with café. The Menkemaborg in Uithuizen is also well worth a visit as is the national park Lauwersmeer, the wilderness on the border between Groningen and Friesland, a walking paradise and a must for bird lovers. Be sure not to forget a day at Schiermonnikoog. The boat leaves from Lauwersoog, which is about a 30-minute drive away. The most beautiful village in the Netherlands is within cycling distance.
