Nature house in Emlichheim

At the end of the country road, lies our rustic country house. The spacious apartment where you will stay has its own entrance and gives you a lot of privacy. The apartment concerns the hayloft of an old farmhouse. We have lovingly renovated and decorated it and hope you can appreciate our love for natural materials. For example, we have left the old trusses with their historic value still visible. The apartment is fully equipped, but if you are missing something, please let us know. From your apartment you also have a beautiful view over the bird country and you can admire the sunrise at leisure. Our yard borders a nature reserve where the meadow birds get all the space they need. A bicycle and walking route runs along our yard between the bird country, where you almost always encounter deer. When you arrive you first drive through the past. The area was known for its rich oil fields and the jackasses are the last industrial heritage of this. When you arrive, however, you drive into the future, with plenty of space for flora and fauna, energy generated by solar panels, an organic vegetable garden and the beginning of our own food forest. Where you can take a nice walk directly from the yard, we can also recommend a visit to Het Bargerveen. This historic nature reserve consists largely of raised bog and is the last remnant of the former Bourtang moor. This unique raised bog area is excellent for a nice walk or bike ride. Among others you can find the viper, viviparous lizard, short-eared owl, hen harrier, red-backed shrike and little grebe.
