A lovely cottage for 2 to 4 people in restored former barn of a Picardy farm. The peace and quiet of the countryside, between land and sea. Ideally located between Amiens and the Bay of Somme. A cozy living space on the ground floor with a small lounge, a fully equipped kitchen , a dining area and a bathroom with shower and WC. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms. One with 1 double bed of 200 x 140; the other with 2 single beds of 200 x 90. The cottage is equipped with wifi. A fine terrace in an enclosed garden facing south. For enthusiasts, a bbq is available. The cottage has private parking. In the months of July and August, rentals are from Saturday to Saturday.
Nature and surroundings
Picardy stretches gently on either side of the highway towards Paris. You would drive right past it, for who would suspect a region with so many surprising (far) faces behind its horizon? In Picardy, you fall from one surprise to another. The chalk cliffs on the coast take your breath away and friendly hillsides hide picturesque villages, but also the horrors of the World Wars. The fortified churches in the Thiérache still stand there as jauntily as in the times when they had to protect their villages. The impressive cathedral of Amiens is even a World Heritage Site. Fairy tale castles take you back to romantic times, you can wander through majestic forests and walk endlessly along vast bays filled with water birds and seals. Frettecuisse is located exactly halfway between Amiens and the coast, in the middle of the real Picard countryside. Hiking, horseback riding, cycling and touring, everything is possible here.
