The chalet has a conservatory-like living room with a spacious view and two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Total approximately 100 sq. m. Around the house and chalet we mow regularly. Further down, towards the forest, the vegetation increases. Beware, you can encounter wild boar. The deer feast on fresh leaves. From the hammock several birds fly overhead. The hoopoe visits regularly. At night bats, tawny owls and the singing of the nightingale. The landscape in this part of the Auvergne is rural, gently rolling, with hedges and here and there woods and medieval villages and castles. From our garden you walk straight into the fôret de Tronçais, a beautiful forest, known for its meters-thick, very tall old oak trees. The river Allier is 30 km away, a beautiful free flowing gravel river, with islands, beavers and birds. In Couleuvre there is a small supermarket, a small swimming pool and a tennis court. At 10-15 km are Lurcy-Levis, Cerilly and Ainay le Chateau, with supermarket, bakeries and restaurants. Those wishing to store can go to Moulins, and possibly combine that with a visit to the Triptych of the Master of Moulins, or a drink at the Grand Café, built in neo-rococo style with an impressive amount of mirrors. Street Art City at Lurcy-Levis, Couleuvre is also near Montluçon, St Amand de Montrond, Nevers and wine region Sancerre.
