We renovated and redecorated our nature house inside in the spring of 2023. It is an idyllic place for a relaxing vacation in the green where you can enjoy panoramic views and wake up to bird sounds. The house has 2 bedrooms, one with large double box spring and an en suite bathroom with spacious walk-in shower and sink. Bedroom 2 has a custom-made bunk bed. The open kitchen with bar is fully equipped and adjoins the living room with spacious seating area overlooking garden and creek. In the conservatory with patio doors to the garden is a long dining table, which can be extended while enjoying the sunset. Children can have fun with the available toys and have adventures in the woodland garden or get tired of jumping on the trampoline. In the garden you can barbecue, and there are portable sunbeds and lounge set. In the lockable garage you can store/charge your (e-)bike.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house has a forest garden of over 1200m2 directly on the Buurserbeek, in the outlying area south of Haaksbergen. From the house and the garden you have an unobstructed view of / access to the Buurserbeek, the surrounding fields and forest. From the house you can walk or cycle to the many nature reserves in the area (e.g. Het Lankheet, Haaksbergerveen, Buurserzand, Witte Veen). Or you can walk to the old water mill a little further along the stream, to be combined with a visit to the terrace/restaurant De Watermolle. From summer 2024 the stream will be given more space, allowed to meander again and the bank will become more natural. The field on the other side of the brook will become a place where water can be parked with lots of space for aquatic animals. With the Buurser Pot, a small flat-bottomed boat, you can sail on the brook under the guidance of a guide. There are several ATB trails, hiking/biking routes in the immediate vicinity. And you can kayak (available at the house) or SUP on the creek.
