Nature and surroundings
Within walking distance you will find, first of all, the castle of Renesse, with the freely accessible garden of about 20ha you can take a pleasant walk at any time. In this property you will find the former coach house which serves as an attractive restaurant. On Sundays and Mondays you can have a drink in the castle itself. A number of events are organized at random times and you can soak up the atmosphere there. By bicycle, you can directly join the Trappist route, which was voted the most beautiful bicycle route of Flanders in 2022. This beautiful route normally starts at Café Trappisten in Westmalle and leads you past the Trappist Abbey . The vast Brecht Heath takes you to the Trappistine Abbey of Brecht. The route continues here to the beautiful castle park property De Renesse and returns via the Linde Pavilion back to the original starting point in Westmalle which is at 6km cycling distance.
