Het Gouden Plekje is ideal when you want to enjoy nature and tranquility. The family house is located on the edge of Schoonheten estate. The residence has been completely renovated. The guesthouse is free standing next to the original farmhouse and there is a spacious private garden. It is ideal for tasting the outdoors, enjoying the rising sun and the sunset with the beautiful evening glow over the meadow. There is room for 9 people and there is a crib. There are also 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. There is a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. An ideal place for nice long dinners and cooking together in the extensive kitchen. Hospitality is very important here, so where possible we will do our best to take your wishes into account. Around and near this estate there are various possibilities for fun activities for young and old. For mountain bikers, motorcyclists etc. it is the perfect place (bed linen is provided and the beds are made on arrival).
Nature and surroundings
There are several beautiful hiking trails in the area, varying in distance. 500 meters away is the Schoonhetense forest. Adjacent to the estate is Boetelerveld. This is 180 acres and is a natura 2000 area. With a little luck, the Scottish Highlanders can also be spotted here. Since July 2024 there are the Blaarkop cows, this is a breed that the moorland in honor should keep. In addition, the guest house is conveniently located in terms of park the Sallandse Heuvelrug, the Sprengenberg and Holterberg. From the hot tub there is a view of the Haarlerberg. Because of the dirt road and a bit through the forest, a nice little round around the residence can be walked in half an hour. A walk around the Schoonheten estate takes about an hour. There is a wagon to take the children. Het Gouden Plekje is 20 minutes by car from Deventer,40 min from Zuthpen and 30 minutes from Zwolle. Bicycles can be arranged and rented on request.
