This building is a monumental building located in the middle of the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, between Doorn and Leersum. It was recently completely restored in style, after which we turned the right part into a Bed & Breakfast. This B&B offers space for 4 guests. Through the front door you enter through the vestibule into the spacious living room. Here you can socialize and enjoy the special atmosphere. There is a piano and you can make your own delicious coffee with the luxury coffee machine. Directly behind this living room is a terrace, accessible through two large French doors. After a good night's sleep you can enjoy an extensive breakfast with fresh local products and homemade bread. Allergies and/or special requests can be passed on. Weather permitting, breakfast is served on the terrace in front of the gatehouse.
Nature and surroundings
The building has a unique location in the middle of nature. In the vicinity you will find various attractions and you can undertake various activities. The area around Het Poortgebouw offers numerous hiking opportunities, with marked trails through nature and past historical sites. Het Poortgebouw is also located on archaeological historical ground; the forest, for example, is home to many burial mounds. There are also many bike trails in the area, including quiet roads through the forest and challenging mountain bike routes.
