On the border of Friesland and Drenthe, right on the water, with beautiful views of the Goudmeer lies our luxury vacation home. The house has an indoor Finnish sauna. The house can be heated and cooled by means of floor heating and air conditioning. This nature house is located in the middle of nature, on a small park. Surrounded by the nature reserves Fochterloërveen and Drents Friese Wold, it is a true paradise for nature lovers and peace seekers. The house is spacious, modern, comfortable and cozy. There are two bedrooms each with two single beds with top comforter mattresses. The partially covered terrace is a nice place to enjoy the view of Lake Gouda. For fishermen it offers a good opportunity for an interesting catch from the decking Should you wish linen and towels, you can rent them for €12.50 per person. However, it is of course also possible to bring your own.

This nature house has an ideal location for exploring the nature in the area. Cyclists, hikers, birdwatchers and nature lovers can enjoy themselves here. The Fochterloërveen nature reserve is just a stone's throw away (500 meters) and is known for the presence of the European crane which breeds here in abundance. The national park Drents Friese Wild is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands and offers sand drifts, forest, heath and stream valley grasslands. The historic prison village of Veenhuizen is just around the corner is definitely worth a visit. The surrounding area is wooded. Appelscha, Roden, Norg, Eelde and Zuidlaren are nice places to visit. Each with its own attractions and nice places to eat. A visit to the Wadden Islands is even fine. The cities of Assen, Drachten and Groningen are also within easy reach from Oosterwolde.
