A ground floor version of the tree house: a colorful cozy wooden cottage in the meadow has a sitting area, dining/writing table, 2-person room/bedstead, coffee and tea facilities, and terrace with a view. The size is 8,8 m2 + separate bedroom of 2,10×1,40. Especially suitable for 1 or 2, max. 3 persons (of which 1 or 2 child). For an individual retreat e.g.: you feel safely enveloped and you become the butterfly spreading her wings. In the nature house is electricity, sanitary facilities are on the part of the farm. There is also a small kitchenette with refrigerator, which you can use, sometimes shared with another guest. The nature house is heated with an electric radiator. You have to go outside for sanitary facilities (toilet bucket available) and kitchenette. There are plenty of quilts/blankets, and also a fire pit for a campfire. We usually have a room or apartment free in case of very bad weather.
Nature and surroundings
Somewhere in the Achterhoek stands a monumental farmhouse. In the yard, chickens, ducks, peacocks and pigeons scratch about. In the distance you can hear a cuckoo, golden oriole, horses graze in the meadow. A place out of time. Beautiful clearings in the forest invite meditation. The nature house is a farmhouse with a history dating back to the 14th century. The current buildings are 120+ years old and are listed buildings. They are located at the edge of the village of Haarlo (near Borculo) in the middle of the typical Achterhoek scenery, with its private character and beautiful vistas, where pieces of forest, meadows, fields and streams alternate. Beautiful for hiking, cycling and stargazing. The farm is occupied by a few permanent residents.
