On the yard of an old farm, in the middle of the National Park, near the water sports village of Earnewâld, a mini-camping site has been set up. Our mini-camping exudes tranquility and space but also offers all the possibilities for an active vacation: walking, cycling and boating. There are several walking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity of the mini-camping, we are happy to provide tips for these trips. We also rent out two nature houses on wheels and a B&B room. The National Park the Alde Feanen is of course unique for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. For this purpose we rent out canoes, a sailboat and a sloop to go out on the water. The boats are in our harbor next to the Skûtsjemuseum, 2 km from the mini-camping. We also put the canoes at other departure points in the area depending on the wishes of our guests. Also with our Lemster aak (fisherman) we organize day trips for groups, a day of sailing with a stopover in Grou is one of the possibilities.
Nature and surroundings
The farm with minicamping is situated between Earnewâld and Oudega in the middle of nature, we live in the National Park the Alde Feanen Guests are always very enthusiastic about the peace and space and the free view with beautiful sunsets. In Earnewâld the Skûtsjemuseum is a must, here you can see and experience everything about the history of the Frisian skûtsjes. Age is the founder of this museum and we are both involved as volunteers. In this museum, beautiful, sometimes powerful stories come to life. An Audio tour (on your smartphone) is available for individual guests. In front of the museum is a skûtsje which can be visited during opening hours. In the village of Earnewâld are several catering establishments with waterfront terraces. It is also possible to rent bikes here. There are several routes available for a beautiful bike ride, the ferry route to Grou is highly recommended. At about 15 km from our campsite you can reach Leeuwarden and Drachten.
