Endless meadows with game and many bird species lie directly behind the small settlement, the view sweeps down to the Bodden with its secluded bays, small sandy bathing spots, reed-covered shores and gorse dunes. The wonderful cycle path behind the house leads over the Meiningen bridge to Fischland-Darss-Zingst and after a few kilometers you are on the Baltic Sea beach between Prerow and Zingst. Or you can drive a few minutes along the Bodden to the neighboring village of Bodstedt with its small harbor and beautiful sandy bathing area. Extensive cycling tours or hikes in the Darsser Ort and Sundische Wiesen Pramort national parks are highly recommended. The Darss Forest, with its reefs and reefs, alder groves, beech groves, rich wildlife and the wild western beach that borders it, is one of the most precious places on the German Baltic coast.
