Experience the ancient mound landscape in Middag Humsterland from this spacious two-door yurt, located on the edge of a farmyard. Experience the peace and warm atmosphere that the round space of the yurt offers, experience nature up close, sit by the wood stove or fire pit outside, enjoy the silence and make music with the available sound instruments. On the site where the yurt is located, a caravan is available for cooking and there is a compost toilet. A regular toilet and a comfortable shower room are available in the farmhouse. Further down the street is a "bike shop" where (electric) bikes can be rented, should you want to explore the area by bike.
Nature and surroundings
The area of Middag Humsterland represents one of the oldest preserved cultural landscapes of our country. The landscape is a collage of ancient wierden, watercourses, plot patterns, roads, dikes and dike tracks. In Ezinge (3.6km), in addition to the Wierdenmuseum, there is a village supermarket and eatery. Several other villages in the area are worth visiting, such as Garnwerd (you can swim here), Warfhuizen and Winsum. There is plenty to do in the rural surroundings. But in addition, the center of the city of Groningen is also only 14 km away. From the train station in Zuidhorn you can be in the center within 10 minutes by train. From the yurt you have a distant view of the hamlet Fransum, where a 13th century church is worth a visit.
