Nature and surroundings
This nature house is on a small-scale vacation park in Boijl near the Drents-Friese Wold, a vast nature reserve located in both Drenthe and Friesland. The area offers wonderful opportunities for cycling and walking, with well-marked routes through forests, moors and sand drifts. An outing through the picturesque villages and historical sites such as the Colonies of Welfare (UNESCO World Heritage Site) or a dip in the Canada Lake is recommended. For the sporty cyclist there are many mountain bike routes through the nearby forests. In the vicinity are plenty of welcoming eateries and for shopping Noordwolde offers extensive possibilities (5 km.)
