Welcome to our cottage. The cottage is not on a vacation park and has a large private woodland garden with beautiful trees and shrubs. The garden offers lots of privacy with several seating areas in the sun and shade. This is the perfect place to unwind. Wake up to the sound of birds and the squirrels in the garden. On the spacious veranda, which can be reached through French doors from the living room, it is nice to sit even in bad weather. The cottage is fully equipped. There is a kitchen with stove, microwave, oven, filter coffee maker and a refrigerator with large freezer. In the living room you will find the sitting area with TV. The natural atmosphere of the woodland garden can also be felt inside. There is a bedroom with a comfortable double bed (180x205 cm) and a large wardrobe with a desk. Thanks to the fast fiber optic wifi, this room can also function as a workspace. There is a second bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom is simple but functional.
Nature and surroundings
From the cottage, located between the Holterberg and nature park Sallandse Heuvelrug, you can make beautiful walks. There are fantastic cycling routes between the meadows and across the moors. For cyclists there is the Holterberg and mountain bikers can get to 3 different MTB routes within 10 minutes from the cottage. Several excursions are possible in the area, including the Nature Museum Holterberg and the amusement park Hellendoorn. In the villages of Holten and Markelo you will find cozy terraces and amenities such as a supermarket. Both villages are about 15 minutes by bike. Hanseatic cities Deventer and Zutphen are easy to reach by car. Should you not be able to bring your own bike, there are two bicycles available. For your bikes there is a locked shed. Outside there is a tap with garden hose to clean the bikes. Parking for 1 car is possible on private property. The cottage can be reached from the A1 within minutes.
