Fristad Cottage is in the middle of Swedish nature. The living room is tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the lake Övre Brocken in the morning. Nature lovers who want the back to basics experience are at the right place at this cottage. The kitchen has everything needed for a nice meal. The bedroom has a lovely double bed. An extra bed is optional. The shower can be reached via the outside stairs.
Nature and surroundings
This house is located on the land of a campground. It is the only house on the property. The big advantage is that it comes with extra amenities. You can enjoy using the sled, ice fishing poles, a ride on the Snow Dog (www. snowdog. com) and baking waffles and sandwiches over the fire. The campground owners provide a personal touch. There is option for breakfast in the morning and in addition they offer self-smoked salmon plus organic ice cream. The cottage is in Vitsand, a small village in the province of Värmland. Nearby there are many hikes to be made. The ski area Hovfjallet is 15 minutes away. This child-friendly area is fine and not yet caught by a large flow of tourists. There is also the possibility of ice skating on the lake. The campground owners provide an ice rink. You can also book a sled dog ride in the area. The nearest town is Torsby (25 minutes).
