In the middle of Burgundy, this authentic nature house has a double bedroom, living kitchen (with nature poster) and bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The pigeon tower (separate entrance) consists of a cozy sitting area and bedroom (via stairs) with three stacked single beds (and one for luggage) for children from 6 years old, young people or adults. The cottage stands in a beautiful garden with several terraces, which give you the feeling of being in the middle of nature. In front of the cottage is a spacious covered terrace. The plot is located on a beautiful lake, where you can enjoy hiking, swimming, supping, pedal boats and fishing. The picturesque Arnay-le-Duc with its restaurants and stores is within walking distance. In short: a wonderful paradise, where it is good to stay and where you immediately feel at home. At the campsite by the lake there is plenty to do in the summer. You can rent bikes and buy a fishing license. You can fish for carp, whitefish and pike (perch).
Nature and surroundings
The Côte d'Or department and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region have a lot to offer! The landscape is rolling, forming a patchwork of grain fields, meadows, vineyards and forests. In spring, rapeseed blooms in the fields and in summer you see sunflowers everywhere. Several hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes have been set up around Arnay-le-Duc. Detailed hiking and cycling maps are for sale at the Office de Tourisme in Arnay-le-Duc. Or you can download an app. Beautiful cycling routes run along the Canal de Bourgogne and right through the wine region, from Dijon, via Beaune to Santenay. Arnay-le-Duc is located against the nature reserve of the Morvan, where you can go hiking. You come across all kinds of things, such as old trees, salomon's seal in the forest, snakeweed in impossible places and many species of ferns. You will also see wild orchids, such as the harlequin and the large mosquito orchid. In the lake you will find different species of fish. In short: this is a wonderful place to unwind!
