Would you like to spend the night in an authentic 17th -century Maasdalhoeve? Our farm is a typical square farmhouse with an idyllic courtyard. You will stay on the first floor of the farm. There are 4 bedrooms, a kitchen / living room and a bathroom with bath and toilet. The accommodation has a private entrance through the courtyard of the farm. The living rooms are tastefully decorated so you feel like back in time. Furthermore, there is plenty to experience on our multifunctional farm, where ecology and self-sufficient living is important. There are several farm animals and a farm store where we sell products from our own vegetable garden, tea garden and berry garden. In the yard there are several sitting areas where you can enjoy a book or the view of the Natura 2000 area in peace. With us you can enjoy the silence and unwind. Not infrequently we hear from our guests that they imagine themselves in France!
Nature and surroundings
Our farm is located in green surroundings overlooking the Swalm Valley nature reserve. River Swalm runs in front of the farm and lures in the summer to take a refreshing dip! From the farm there are several hiking routes to choose from and in the area are many beautiful hiking areas. The Pieterpadroute ends at the market of downtown Swalmen 800 meters from the farm. The train station of Swalmen is less than 1 km away. Hence, trips from our accommodation are easy to plan. The nearest city of Roermond is easily accessible and has a beautiful historic center. There are plenty of catering establishments, so there is something to choose from if you don't feel like cooking for yourself. Visiting a nature garden, booking a canoe trip or visiting thrift store Emmaus which is next door is among the possibilities for an outing.
