Welcome to the forest house located near the medieval Hanseatic city of Hattem (3km), Zwolle (9km) and Elburg (19km). The house is 80m2 and is located on our wooded property bordering the Veluwe. Nature comes very close here, with squirrels (you can hear them tripping over the roof), many butterflies and many species of birds. With a little luck you can hear the tawny owls at night. Around the house are several terraces to linger with a cozy firepit and hammocks among the trees. The forest house is built with as many recycled materials as possible. For example, the doors, kitchen, bathroom, etc. come from our demolished house further down the lot. The interior is very sustainable, but also luxuriously furnished with nice box-spring beds, an espresso machine and a stocked wine cabinet. Especially for children there are high chairs, an inground trampoline and a swing available. And what child wouldn't want to dream in a treehouse bed (up to 12 yrs.) or converted horsebox?

Walk out of our lane and you are on the Veluwe! The forest house is located 100m away from the woods and heaths of the Veluwe. From here you can walk and cycle endlessly and freely through the beautiful nature of the Veluwe with woodpeckers, wild boar, deer and red deer. Because of its location on the IJssel with its beaches and floodplains and on the edge of the Veluwe, Hattem is a very attractive town. And there is much to do and experience. Good restaurants in various price ranges and cozy terraces on the market square. The A3 bonbon studio and ice cream from Tutti Gelati are also to be savoured. Or visit the Anton Pieck, Voerman and famous Bakery Museum. Very nice for children. In addition, there are annual fun events such as the medieval Dikke Tinne Festival, the chocolate festival and much more. Zwolle center is 9km away and is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle (April-Oct. also by ferry) and car.
