Our house stands in a beautiful garden with a cider orchard and a lush organic vegetable garden in permaculture. The studio with separate kitchen and separate bathroom is located in the garden with entrance only in front of the studio. There is a terrace where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. The extensive breakfast is varied and features homemade bread, eggs from our chickens, homemade jams and organic products. It is served in our house or on our terrace if the weather is nice. We are happy to give explanations after breakfast if you would like. There are maps and information available. We heat the water with a heat pump and the whole room is insulated and equipped with wooden boards. The waste water from the kitchen and shower ends up in yellow lis field and is used in the garden. The space is heated with infrared heating. We live quietly and attach great importance to welcoming our guests in peace.
Nature and surroundings
We live in the greenery a few kilometers from St. Mère-Eglise in the center of the beautiful nature reserve "Parc des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin". Picturesque villages, vast meadows and marshes alternate with a typical landscape of hedges and roadsides, here called the bocage. The sea is never far away. You can enjoy strolling on the vast beaches here and in the numerous small fishing ports around where you can feast on oysters and other delicious seafood.The Beauguillot nature reserve is 20 km from here and is a real must for bird lovers. La maison du Parc, 10 km from here, gives a lot of information about the fauna and flora of the whole nature reserve in which we live. The walking and cycling possibilities are endless. We are happy to give you information about the large range of visit possibilities in the region.
