The luxury vacation home (semi-detached) is located on the Estate, on a private island/"It eilan" in the middle of National Park De Alde Feanen (UNESCO World Heritage) and on the waterfront, near the Frisian water sports villages of Grou and Akkrum. This place/holiday home can only be reached by boat. The electric sloop (1 sloop is for 7 people) is therefore included in the rental price. In this vacation home we have made 2 vacation homes for 7 persons/4 bedrooms each. Both vacation homes are fully equipped with all conveniences and luxuries: induction cooking plates, semi-professional espresso machine with ground coffee, steel pans, luxury dishes and wine glasses (red and white), two refrigerators, ceramic BBQ (Takumi) and plate BBQ (Ofyr), soapstone stove, wifi and TV. This vacation accommodation overlooks the nature reserve (Alde Feanen) and the other accommodation has a view of the water (Janssloot>Nature House 58312). The houses are identical in content, only the view is different.

The Estate is located on the island and in nature reserve. The Island, also referred to by its Frisian name It Eilân. It is located in the municipality of Goëngahuizen. It Eilân is part of National Park De Alde Feanen. The sailing routes from It Eilân connect to the larger lakes, the Frisian lakes, the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea. The island is part of National Park De Alde Feanen: an almost 2,300 hectare moor that offers a very varied landscape. You will find lakes, marshes, reed beds and swamp forests. The Park has many recreational opportunities including boating, hiking, cycling and canoeing routes. The characteristic village of Grou and a small village of Akkrum are 15 minutes away by boat and car. Here you can find and experience everything in terms of culture, history, culinary, shopping, accommodation and water sports. The larger towns of Leeuwarden, Drachten, Sneek and Heerenveen are also easily accessible.
