Nature house in Montgon

Enjoy the unspoiled nature, the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees by the lake on our property. Discover the hilly surroundings or admire the breathtaking starry sky while enjoying a good glass of wine..... You will stay in a romantic nature house (Dutch owners) with private entrance and unobstructed views over meadows and garden. The cozy cottage (28m2) is suitable for 2 (max 3) persons and is equipped with all comforts. In the open living/sleeping area is the kitchen, dining table and a sitting area with 2 armchairs. Furthermore, there is a comfortable bed (160x200) and on the small mezzanine a 2nd bed (140x200). The luxurious bathroom can be closed by a wooden sliding door. The high ceiling (highest side 3.60m) gives the whole a spacious feeling. Through the garden doors and the skylight there is a lot of light inside. Outside there are 2 terraces and a BBQ. Pets allowed (max 2), if well behaved and not a danger to our cats and ducks (see conditions).

Uphill, in the French Ardennes, in a small hamlet lies the property we purchased in 2014. In addition to an old and dilapidated house, it also included a great nature reserve with two lakes. The house has since been renovated and we built an extension containing the gite (2023).The property is 1.5 ha, most of which is and will remain nature reserve. It is an ideal place for all kinds of wildlife. So we regularly see deer, wild boar, foxes, squirrels and all kinds of (predatory) birds. There are also carp, wild ducks and the occasional beaver rat swimming in the large lake. It is therefore not very suitable for swimming. However, you can enjoy the unspoiled nature, the silence, the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. Start the day with a walk around the lake (most likely to see wild animals). Or enjoy a good book until the evening falls and it gets too dark to continue reading.....
