Celebrate your vacation in this fine cottage surrounded by natural beauty! In a quiet location, on the edge of a forest, attached to our farm is this private 'Gite'. The cottage is fully furnished and fully equipped. Outside there is your own private terrace overlooking the horse pasture. In the grounds is a large playground for children including a trampoline and playhouse. Relax in one of the seats and hammocks.
Nature and surroundings
The Limousin is known for its originality, unspoiled nature, rivers, many lakes, forests, rolling countryside and clean air. And not to forget its Limousin cows. A real piece of authentic France! Explore the area on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. Or take a day trip by car to the charming villages nearby. Two kilometers from the farm is the village of Châteauneuf-la-Forêt; there is a lovely swimming lake with a sandy beach. There are also two supermarkets, café/restaurants, a pharmacy, bakery etc. In the forests of Châteauneuf, adjacent to our farm, there are several hiking, MTB cycling and riding trails. A day out? At 40 min. drive is the great city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain. A morning or afternoon out can also be enjoyed in the picturesque medieval villages of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat and Eymoutiers. For water fun there are several swimming lakes in the area: Châteauneuf, Sussac, Bujaleuf and the beautiful Lac-de-Vassiviere.
