You will stay on a ship in the marina of the picturesque village of Monnickendam. The village is worth a walk and with its many terraces and cozy restaurants a nice village to stay. You book the ship for two persons but we have possibility for 4 persons (please check the condition to book extra bedroom) Young children are more than welcome, but on their own responsibility.
Nature and surroundings
The area has large and small nature reserves and day recreation areas such as Hemmeland and Het Purmerbos. Hemmeland is a peninsula and is located in the Gouwzee near Monnickendam. The area offers many recreational opportunities for swimmers and walkers. The area offers plenty of space for cycling, towards Marken, Broek op Waterland and all the picturesque villages in between. In addition, the famous Volendam is a stone's throw away and you are with 15 minutes by public transport in Amsterdam
