Experience the peace, space and nature of the beautiful Twente countryside from our cozy cottage. This cottage, located in hamlet Westerhoeven near Vriezenveen, has a rich family history: once built by my grandfather, it now offers a wonderful stay for vacationers. The independent, rear part of our house is fully equipped to offer you a comfortable and relaxing stay. The cottage has a cozy living room with a comfortable sitting area and a cozy dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped and through the window offers a beautiful view of the green garden and the meadows where cows graze in summer. The bedroom is furnished with two nice beds for a good night's sleep. In the neat bathroom you will find a spacious walk-in shower, a sink and the toilet. Through the sliding doors you enter the sheltered private garden, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. You might spot a curious squirrel or a grazing deer.
Nature and surroundings
Twente has much to offer vacationers and those seeking peace and quiet. Surrounded by meadows with cows, horses, donkeys and chickens, you will enjoy the fresh outdoor air here. Take a stroll along the Stouwe, a beautiful natural stream, or get on your bike to explore the Twente countryside and the historic moorland landscape in Het Veenschap nature reserve. Our cottage is located about 3 kilometers outside the built-up area between Vriezenveen and Daarlerveen/Vroomshoop. In these villages you will find bike rentals, ATMs, train stations, supermarkets and other stores. For a day out you can visit cities like Hardenberg, Almelo, Hengelo or Enschede. The surrounding villages of Ommen, Rijssen, Wierden, Hellendoorn, Nijverdal and the picturesque Ootmarsum are also nice tourist places to visit. Or drive across the border to Germany for beautiful nature walks and cozy German villages.
