Lovingly furnished vacation home in the immediate vicinity of the Kellerwald National Park. The house has 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds. A travel cot, a baby chair and a high chair are also available for younger guests. A bathroom with shower and toilet and a further toilet complete the furnishings. The living/dining area has a cosy dining area and a lounge suite next to the wood-burning stove.
Nature and surroundings
The house is located in a vacation village in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg. Frankenau itself is located in the south-western part of the only national park in Hesse, Kellerwald-Edersee. The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park comprises one of the largest uninterrupted areas of beech forest in Germany and stretches north to Waldeck, west to Frankenau, east to Bad Zwesten and south to Gilserberg, with Lake Edersee and Lake Affoldern with its surrounding beech forests, castles and villages in between. The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park is characterized by numerous cycle paths and hiking trails. Prominent examples include the Kellerwaldsteig (approx. 156 km) and the Urwaldsteig (approx. 68 km). The Kellerwaldsteig, for example, starts directly in Frankenau and goes via Waldeck to Battenhausen. The primeval forest trail, on the other hand, is a circular route that starts in Waldeck and leads around Lake Edersee.
